팝 음악에 익숙한 우리 들에게 새로운 독특함을 주는 음악이다. 덴마크 출신의 팝 퓨전(Pop Fusion) 아티스트인 예스퍼 레넘의 세련되고 정제된 유럽 음악을 느낄 수 있다. 예스퍼 랜엄(Jesper Ranum)은 유럽 음악중에서도 상당히 세련되고 정제된 음악을 들려주는데 덴마크의 코펜하겐 출신으로 프로듀서이면서 작곡 편곡가로서도 명성이 있는 그는 직접 본인이 개인스튜디오도 운영했고 현재 그의 음악적 비중은 서유럽 전체를 통틀어 독보적 존재로 군림한다해도.

그의 음악을 팝 퓨전(Pop Fusion)이라 말하는데, 그것은 그의 음악속에 결합된 사운드들이 항상 대중성을 잃지않으면서도 여러 장르의 의미를 내포하고 있기때문이다. 미국 영국의 음악이 완성도에 있어서 완벽하다고 한다면 유럽의 음악은 완성도 면에서는 좀 처질지언정 그들의 다양한 정서가 음악에 배어있기때문에 세련된 면이나 고급스러운 면에 선 미국이나 영국보다는 월등하기에 음악을 듣는 사람으로서는 더 더욱 즐거울 것이다.

우리에겐 매니아를 기반으로 Photograph가 많이 알려져 있죠. 오늘은 고급스러운 분위기의 Just a dream 과 Standing In The Rain도 들려드립니다. Ranum의 목소리로는 가수로는 아니랍니다. 하지만목소리를어떻게내는지를 아는사람이라구하더군요. 좀어려운것같네요^^ 여기서두 중반에나오는 구조를 요청하는듯한 보코더(Vocoder)의 변조된 기계음이나 컴퓨터가 가지고있는 극도의 비인간적인 면을 따뜻하고 인간적인 사운드로 바꾸는 능력도 탁월하다네요. 그만의 능력이겠죠?? ^_*
